Sweetunda

About the Company

70% of juicy Kenyan mangoes never get to market. We asked smallholder farmers why their fruit (and vegetables) often rot in the fields instead of being sold for cash, providing sustainable livelihoods for their families. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.

They explained how the links needed between the farm and the market simply don’t exist.
We said, “We think we can help you with that.”

We’re Burton & Bamber an agro-processing company established in 2015, with a vision to create income for farmers and reduce food loss. We take fruit and vegetables process them, and bring you Sweetunda – wonderful Kenyan dried mango and other snacks, created from food that was previously wasted. We’re building a sustainable supply chain and pay premium prices for good-quality fruit and vegetable.

Quality throughout
our value chain

Our commitment to quality begins at the farm, where Global GAP training helps farmers boost yields and standards. This ensures higher incomes and premium fruits and vegetables for Sweetunda products. Our processing methods retain nutrients and vibrant flavors, delivering natural goodness from Kenyan farmers.

We add no sugar to our dried fruits and rolls, while our orange sweet potato CRACKiES provide vitamin A in a fun snack. Our fruit purees use microwave pasteurization to preserve nutrients. From dried mangoes to pineapples, bananas, and pawpaw, every Sweetunda product reflects our dedication to natural ingredients, sustainability, and wellness.
